This article gives you the step-by-step instructions on creating multiple issues based on the project role through using the Creation on Transition app.
Instructions
- Log into Jira as an Administrator and navigate to > System.
- From the left panel, select Project roles under the SECURITY section.
- Create a Project Role.
For example, the Product Manager role is shown below. :
Assign the default users/groups to the role. - Navigate to the Issues tab. Select Workflows under the WORKFLOWS section.
- Select the required workflow and click Edit.
- Click the transition for which Create on Transition is configured.
- Select Post Functions and clickto edit the Create Issue post function.
- Click on the Detailed Fields link and provide %entry% in the Assignee field.
- Click on the Conditions & Configuration link and enter %role_Product Manager% into the Create multiple issues field and click Update.
Updated post function looks similar as mentioned belowto: - Publish the workflow before executing running the transition. With this post function, multiple issues are created based on the list of users in the project role.
