In order to configure TFS4JIRA in your JIRA Cloud instance, go to Administration->Add-ons->TFS4JIRA Settings. This will open a page shown in a screenshot below

In order to work properly, your TFS4JIRA Cloud add-on requires that you install the synchronizer Synchronizer application in your local network (see Installing TFS4JIRA Synchronizer for a description and requirements for the synchronizerSynchronizer).

Issues and Work Items Synchronization Setup

The TFS4JIRA Cloud does not require any special configuration for allowing the issues synchronization to work, beyond what is described in Configuring TFS-JIRA issues synchronization. The Synchronizers seen section of the settings page lists all the web requests made by your synchronizer application to your JIRA Cloud instance since the last JIRA restart.Remember that Encryption Password should be set at the first time you are configuring Checkins Synchronization and it should match password that is set in Synchronizer applicationand work items synchronization.

For a step by step tutorial on configuring check-ins synchronization please visit page Configuring TFS / VSTS check-ins synchronization.

Note

For check-ins synchronization, the synchronizer Synchronizer web application will need to enable incoming connections from the internet Internet - specifically from the IP address of the tfs4jira-ondemand.spartez.com host. If necessary, you will need to set up some firewall rules that allow such connections. It is ok to expose the synchronizerSynchronizer's web interface using SSL. Additionally, the communication between this host and the synchronizer Synchronizer is encrypted with symmetric AES cipher so that your data remains secure.

In order for the check-ins synchronization to work, JIRA Jira must know the externally visible address of your synchronizer Synchronizer web application. This most likely means that you have to configure your web server to proxy web connections from the internet Internet to the synchronizerSynchronizer. Details of such proxy setup depend on what kind of web server you have - please refer to your web server documentation for more information.

In order to set up check-ins synchronization, you have to provide the external address of your synchronizer application and set up an encryption password, which has to match the password configured in your sycnhronizer (see Configuring TFS check-ins synchronization).

Clicking the Update button applies the new settings. Clicking Test makes the TFS4JIRA add-on attempt to contact the synchronizer. When the connection is successful, the status of the synchronizer (containing the number of configured TFS source code repositories and some other info) is displayed. In case of communication problem, an appropriate error message is displayed
