This article explains how to access use the parameter "URL to Excel file" from the app  parameter in the Excel for Confluence app.

Instructions

  1. Log in as a Confluence administrator.
  2. Navigate to Image Added > Add-ons > Find new apps and search for "Excel for Confluence". Ensure you have Excel for Confluence app installed in your confluence Confluence instance.

    Go to the page where you want to copy the URL, below is the example of an attachment URL by right-clicking and Copy the Link address.

  3. Log in as any user in your Confluence instance and add an Excel file to a page as required.
  4. Right-click the file and select Copy Link Address. Note that this address is different from the URL of the webpage.

  5. Insert and Edit the Excel macro.

  6. Enter the below details and click on Preview.

  7. Save the macro settings , and publish the page and below is the required output.
