Now that you have connected Confluence to Salesforce, you can configure mappings for Confluence pages that you want to publish to Salesforce. Mappings allow you to set the behavior of the publishing process and set the destination record type, channels, fields, and more.

In your Confluence space, click on the gear icon ⚙ ⚙️ (Settings).
In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Salesforce Publisher section, and click on Configuration.
On the page, you will see the following sections:
Automations - To set automatic update of Salesforce article upon subsequent updates to the Confluence page, turn on Automatic update.
Permissions - Add and authorize groups to access publisher features. The added group will be listed on the page.
Article Mappings - Set the mappings for Confluence content to be published to Salesforce.
In the Article mappings window, type the new mapping name and hit enter.
Click on the expand button to view the configuration of the created mapping.
1 | Record type | Choose the Record Type. For this example, it is FAQ. |
2 | Channel visibility | For Channel visibility, select the channel(s) in Salesforce where you want the content to appear. You can choose from the Public Knowledge Base, To customer, and To partner channels. |
3 | Display | You can enable or disable the display option to show the View in Confluence option in Salesforce. |
4 | Type fields | For Type Fields, ensure the Confluence fields are mapped to Salesforce article fields accordingly. |
5 | Mark as default mapping | Check the Mark as default mapping option if you want to make this mapping the default choice. The Default label appears on the mapping name you have created. |
6 | Mapping | Enable the mapping once all configurations are complete. |
Repeat Step 4 to create more mappings.
