excerpt | Add-on: Classic Connector for Salesforce & Jira Question: Why are some Salesforce fields not available in my Display Template for my Remote System Reference field? Answer: Problem Solution If you are encountering an issue where some of your fields are not displaying in the Remote System Reference field, please ensure the following: The Salesforce user you used to authorize the Connection has sufficient permissions to access those Salesforce fields. The Display Templates that you have configured for the Remote System Reference field is correct and follows the proper syntax. The Salesforce fields are not empty. If you are still encountering this issue after you have verified the above, this could be due to a configuration in your Mappings. You can verify this by following the below steps: Go to Administration > Add-ons > Mappings Click Configure Expand the Settings menu Locate the Optimize Query to Remote System setting When enabled, this setting will reduce the number of fields queried from Salesforce. This is to improve the performance of your JIRA instance in situations where there are many fields available in your Salesforce Objects. Depending on your JIRA and Salesforce instance, the fields removed are different and not necessarily the same in each instance. Disabling the setting would allow the Connector to query all available fields from Salesforce, thus, ensuring that none of your desired fields are left out. |
