AIP allows you to easily export your asset search results from the Asset Navigator to Microsoft Excel. This can be a useful CSV, HTML, and Jira Cloud formats. This is an effective way to format data and create customized reports, graphs, and charts.

This article will guide you through exporting AIP search results to CSV, HTML, and Jira Cloud.

The needed steps are explained in detail below, but we recommend you watch the video to get a quick look before you start.

Prerequisites

Instructions

Export search results to CSV (Microsoft Excel)

:Choose Assets >

  1. In the top navigation bar, select Asset Navigator.

  2. Refine your search , then choose to fit your needs.

  3. Under the Export menu, select Export CSV. The configuration page displays.

Export to Cloud

This provides a guide on migrating assets from on-premise to the cloud. Users can now seamlessly transfer their assets by utilizing the "Export for Cloud" feature, eliminating the need for manual formatting tasks such as

  2. Pick the export style you prefer:

    • Grid view for an Excel-style list.

    • Individual assets view for a sequential display of each asset.

  3. If the template has user variables (for example, a username), select a user.

  4. Check the Include linked assets option if linked issues should be printed.

  5. Click Download.

A file named Assets <Time Stamp>.html is created. Use a browser to print this file. You can personalize the HTML template to include any tags, such as your company logo or name.

Export search results for Jira Cloud

This section provides guidance on migrating assets from Jira Data Center/Server to Jira Cloud. It aims to ensure a seamless transfer of assets and eliminate manual tasks like adjusting headers and organizing data.

Prerequisites

Before initiating the migration process, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  • Access to the on-premise Data Center/Server asset repository.

For successful on-premise to cloud import, it is crucial that the

  • Verify that the necessary asset types and attributes are pre-

configured
