This article explains how to delete a group in Bitbucket using Command Line Interface (CLI).

Instructions

  1. removeGroup CLI action allows The CLI action: removeGroup allows deleting a group from Bitbucket instance.

  2. Refer to the action command given below to delete a group:

  3. The users in the group to be deleted can be moved to another group by mentioning the group name in --defaultGroup optional parameter.

    --action removeGroup --group "testgroup" --defaultGroup "jira-administrators"

    With the above command, all the users inside the testgroup will be moved to jira-administrators group and then the testgroup will be deleted.
