  1. If you have a valid UGP PRO license, you are entitled to a PCF Premium license. Contact us, and we'll help migrate your license from UGP Pro to PCF Premium.

  2. All custom fields defined by UGP PRO PCF PRO will be migrated automatically along  along with their configuration. This step cannot be reversed easily, however you can . It requires you to contact support if you want to and reverse it manually (you will need to run certain SQLs by running certain SQL scripts on your database). We must insist hereHowever, this process is a step we highly do not recommendrecommended. 

  3. Migrating your UGP PRO license is the only correct thing to doprocess, as new improvements and maintenance will only happen in be implemented into PCF Premium from now on.

  4. Both UGP PRO and PCF Premium will continue to function in parallel, however we strongly recommend that you uninstall the UGP PRO at your earliest convenience because the migration task happens only once. 

  5. Do NOT create more custom fields via UGP PRO. You have all functionality in the  All of the PCF Pro functionality exists in PCF Premium edition.

  6. After installing PCF Premium and uninstalling UGP PRO we strongly recommend you to restart Jira and perform installing PCF Premium and uninstalling PCF PRO we strongly recommend restarting Jira and performing a Jira re-index.

Troubleshooting

We have worked hard so that PCF Premium and UGP PCF PRO work in parallel so it will allow , allowing you to easily switch the editions easily. However, if you encounter problems during your migration, here's a list of known issues.

Explanation

You have have both Power Custom Fields Premium and User Group Picker PRO and cannot update the configuration of the existing fields. 

When you click the referring link, a 404 error appears.

  1. Uninstall the old UGP PRO plugin.

  2. Perform a disable/enable cycle the in PCF Premium.


We recommend the disable-enable cycle on the PCF Premium in order to Premiumto be sure that the new add-on is in effect. Another option for you is to restart Jira after you uninstall UGP PCF PRO.

all All fields from UGP PRO get are migrated and this might cause certain conflicts between the two versions.
