Basic tasks follow the same set of rules including linking, sorting, etc. However, dependencies between basic tasks and monday items are NOT synchronized to monday boards, they exist only in BigPicture.

To create a basic task in a box:

  1. Click Add task > Create task > Basic task.

  2. You can also add a basic task directly on the task tree using the “plus” icon.

  3. Fill in the task information.

  4. To create a milestone, activate the Create as a milestone toggle switch. Only one date input will be available, because a milestone is a point in time and cannot have a duration of several days.

  5. To keep task creation modal open after creating the current task, check the Create another option.

  6. Click Create to confirm.
