The selection configuration persists in Jira User Properties and will be per user so every user can set their own selection of configuration, without interfering with other users configuration.

When you open Roll-Up Reports app, the Save Selections action is disabled by default.

During the report page load, if selection configuration for the report type is already retained in Jira User Properties then the saved configuration will be automatically populated. If not, the default selections are populated for report type.

You can save selection configurations for all the report types: To save your selection configuration for report types, follow below steps.

  • Epic Roll-Up

  • Sprint Roll-Up

  • Fix Version Roll-Up

  • Agile Board Roll-Up

  • Issue Type Roll-Up

  • Custom Roll-Up

Once you make some selections for Roll-Up Report type, the Save Selections icon turns red to indicate that the configuration changes are not saved.

Scenario 1: Save selection configuration

To save the changes, click Save Selections icon.

Selection is saved and the success message is displayed. The selection configuration for the report type gets saved, and the configuration will persist in Jira User property.

If there is some system error and the selection configurations are not saved then an Error message box is displayed. You can try saving the selections again after sometime.

Scenario 2: Navigate to other report type without saving

Without saving the selection configurations if you navigate to other report type, a confirm message box displays the message as 'There are unsaved changes on the page'. The dialog box provides you with three options to continue.

  • Save and Continue - This action saves the changed configuration and displays the success/failure message. Then it takes user to the report type to which user is trying to navigate. 

  • Discard and Continue - This action does not save the changed configuration and takes user to the report type to which user is trying to navigate. 

  • Cancel - This action cancels the user navigation and retains the user on the same report page with selected configurations. The configurations are not saved or discarded, and the Save Selections icon shows red.
