Confluence allows the ability users with View permission to export a page to PDF and Word formats. This option is available to users who have permission to view the page. When a Visibility macro such as Hide If or Show If is used on the page, the output of the export will differ based on which users are restricted or unrestricted to view the content of the page.

Info

If you do not use the ‘Display Types’ parameter to restrict the content to either ‘default’ or ‘printable,’ then the macros affect the visibility in BOTH the Confluence default view and exported PDF or Word documents.

In this example, we will be exporting the page into PDF format.
