Exporting Search Results to CSV (Microsoft Excel)

AIP (Assets and Inventory app) enables you to easily export your asset search results from the Asset Navigator to Microsoft Excel. This can be a useful way to format data and create your own customized reports, graphs, and charts.

To export search results to CSV (Microsoft Excel):

  1. Choose Assets > Asset Navigator.

  2. Refine your search, then choose the Export menu.

  2. Select the delimiter, and click Download.

  3. A file called Assets <Time Stamp>.csv will be created. Edit this file using Microsoft Excel Or Libre Office and/or save it as required.

Exporting Search Results to HTML

AIP (Assets and Inventory app) enables allows you to easily export your asset search results from the Asset Navigator to HTML with pre-defined export templates. This can be a useful way to print custom documents with assets, i.e., having an employee's signature to check - out assets.

To export search results to HTML:

  1. Choose Assets > Asset Navigator.

  2. Refine your search, then choose the Export menu.

  3. Choose "Export HTML" from the dropdown menu

    2. Name the template, select the export style, and optionally, complete user selection. Click Download.

    Individual assets view: Each asset will be displayed one by one.

    Select an User if the template has User variables, i.e user name

    It is possible to add any HTML tag to the template, i.e Company Logo/name.

    Export to Cloud

    This provides a guide on migrating assets from on-premise to the cloud. Users can now seamlessly transfer their assets by utilizing the "Export for Cloud" feature, eliminating the need for manual formatting tasks such as adjusting headers and organizing data.

    Prerequisites

    Before initiating the migration process, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

    • Access to the on-premise asset repository.

    • Permission to export assets.

    • Properly configured cloud environment.

    To export for Cloud:

    1. Choose Assets > Asset Navigator.

    2. Refine your search, then choose the Export menu.

    3. Choose "Export for Cloud" from the dropdown menu.

    4. Select the delimiter, and click Download.

    5. The system will generate a cloud-compatible export file.

    For successful on-premise to cloud import, it is crucial that the asset types and attributes are pre-configured in the cloud environment. If the required asset types and attributes already exist in the cloud, users can directly proceed with the import process.
