Prerequisites

• You have reviewed everything on the previous page, Migrate Page Approval Server to Page Approval Cloud.
• You have reviewed the feature differences documentation and now understand the macro differences.

1. Upgrade the Page Approval app

• In Confluence Server, ensure the Page Approval app is up-to-date. To check:

1. 1. Go to ⚙ > Manage apps
   2. Search for Page Approval from the list. Make sure that the app is updated.

2. Prepare the Migration tool

• Migrate your data using the Confluence Cloud Migration tool. 

1. 1. Navigate to the Migration Assistant homepage and click on Assess Your Apps.
      
      
      
   2. In the Assess your apps window, mark Page Approval as Needed in Cloud. Mark any other app that you want to migrate, then click Done. 
      
      
   3. Click Prepare your Apps and enter your destination cloud site, then click Continue.
   4. If the app is not installed in the cloud site, install it and then click Continue again.
   5. Click View Policy and review the app policy. Next, click Confirm.
   6. The app is now up to date and ready to be migrated to the cloud site, click Done to exit the window.

3. Performing the migration

1. When you're ready, click Migrate your Data > Create new migration to start a new migration process

   1. Follow the instructions in this process. 

   2. At the end of this process, you have the option to immediately start the migration or Save it for later. Either way, the new migration process will be saved to your dashboard. There, you can view the progress and details of all your migrations.

2. Make sure that the app data migration is successful. 

   1. In the Migration dashboard, click View Details to see the status of the migration. Wait until you see a COMPLETE status.
      
      
      

      Warning
      If the status is different or there is no message displayed, it means that migration has failed. Contact SeviceRocket support for assistance.

      
      

3. The Page Approval server data has been migrated successfully, open your cloud site to view the migrated pages with Page Approval macros.
