excerpt | This page will guide you through the process of installing Visibility for Confluence Server. Installation There are two methods of installation: Method Details Installation using an Atlassian License (a license bought through the Atlassian Marketplace). Log into your Confluence instance as an admin. Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > Manage apps . The Manage add-ons screen loads. Click Find new apps . Locate Visibility for Confluence Server via search. The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license. You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. The download will then begin. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian . Click Apply license . If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Confluence instance. Installation using a ServiceRocket License (a license bought directly from ServiceRocket) STEP 1: Install the app Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > Manage apps Click Find New Add-ons. Search for Visibility for Confluence Server. Click on Install . Ensure the add-on is installed successfully. STEP 2: Install the ServiceRocket License Purchase a ServiceRocket license from the ServiceRocket Marketplace and you will be given a link to download the license key. Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > General configuration . In the sidebar, under Visibility for Confluence Server , click License . Upload the ServiceRocket License .key file by clicking Choose File . Click Install . if your license is valid, it will be displayed under Current License . To install a Premium edition license, follow the same steps as shown under the ServiceRocket Licensing tab. Switching Between Atlassian Licenses and ServiceRocket Licenses Switching from a ServiceRocket License to an Atlassian License Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > General configuration In the sidebar, under Visibility for Confluence Server , click License . Click Uninstall . The ServiceRocket License should now be uninstalled. Now, in the sidebar, under Atlassian Marketplace , click Manage Add-ons . (This only applies if Confluence can connect to the Atlassian Marketplace. If your Confluence instance is not able to connect to the Atlassian Marketplace, see the FAQ section below on how to proceed.) Go to Visibility for Confluence Server and click either Free Trial or Buy Now . Switching from an Atlassian License to a ServiceRocket License Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > Manage apps. Go to Visibility for Confluence Server and click on the pencil icon next to the License key . Remove the license and click Update . In the sidebar, under Visibility for Confluence Server Configuration , click License . Upload your ServiceRocket License .key file by clicking Choose File . Click Install . Frequently Asked Questions This may happen if you have a large instance and may also happen if you are upgrading from a previous version. We advise you to wait it out, especially if your instance contains large amounts of data. This app supports Dual Licensing. This means you may choose to use this app by purchasing either a ServiceRocket license or an Atlassian Marketplace license. If you have an existing valid ServiceRocket license and want to switch to an Atlassian Marketplace license, you need to uninstall the ServiceRocket license first. Likewise, if you have an Atlassian Marketplace license and want to switch to a ServiceRocket license, you will need to uninstall the Atlassian Marketplace license as well. MyAtlassian is a site to manage your Atlassian-related licensing and orders. If you have a valid license for the designated add-on, the license key would be stored on MyAtlassian. Copy the license key and manually paste the key into the Universal Plugin Manager: Go to the top right of the page and click on the cog icon > Manage apps . Then, expand the add-on details and paste the license key in the text box. |
