excerptPurpose The Page Approval macro has options for "Acknowledgers" and "Acknowledgement Groups". What are they used for and how are they different from approvers? Answer Acknowledgements provide a way for certain users to indicate they have checked the page, even if they are not approvers. Think of it as similar to a CC: email or a way to keep certain parties "in the loop". For example, you may need to have a document acknowledged by the legal department or the HR department as part of the workflow, but they are not actually the ones who will do the final approval. For more information about acknowledgements, refer to this section in the admin guide .
