Introduction
Being able to create JIRA issues from within Salesforce with the click of button provides an easy and powerful way to integrate the two systems together.
A practical example is if your Salesforce users are a sales team with no interaction or knowledge of JIRA at all, however your JIRA users who need to provide technical feedback to sales opportunities do not have Salesforce access.
To provide means to track a sales opportunity in JIRA, a Salesforce user could create a JIRA issue from a Salesforce Opportunity which would be automatically populated with the information the JIRA user needs. When the JIRA user adds the detail they need to add, they can synchronize it back to to the Salesforce Opportunity.
