This page outlines the steps to migrate transform your Connector data from server to server. Migration is required due to the dissimilarity of data storage between these two platformsClassic to NextGen for Jira administrators who want to migrate their user experience from Classic Connector to NextGen Connector. The data transformation happens within the same server instance.

At the end of this guide, you will have:

  • Upgraded your Jira Server connector so that you can access the data exporter.
  • Produced an export file of the Jira Server connector

    Transformed your Classic Connector to Nextgen Connector.

  • Retained Classic Connector’s historical association data after the transformation to NextGen Connector.

  • Imported the export file into your Jira Cloud connector.

  • Configured your Jira Cloud connector settings.
