Notes

  • "Associating" a Salesforce Object or Objects to a Jira Issue shouldn't be confused with "Linking" a Salesforce Object to a Jira Issue. The functionality of association between the two systems "binds" the two objects together wherein the mapped fields between the two can be synchronized to and from. Using the Linking functionality will just add a HTML element to the Jira Issue to the Salesforce Object(s).
  • Note that it is possible to associate multiple cases with multiple Jira Issues. Just do the same steps for the Salesforce Objects you want to be synchronized with Jira.
  • You may also associate 1 Jira Issue to multiple Salesforce objects, up to a maximum of 13.
