You can add multiple asset custom fields to any screen you want for JIRA Core, Jira Software, JIRA Service Management, and the JSM customer portal. Then, you can filter its content by asset type(s) or saved filters.
It is possible to create a custom field for IT by filtering IT asset types and also it is possible to create another asset custom field for Human Resources by selecting a saved filter for HR.
You can link multiple assets on a single request by adding additional asset fields.
You must have an asset management app and be a Jira admin to add additional asset fields.
To add additional asset fields:
Go to Settings ()> Issues.
Click Add custom field.
Find and select the External assets platform field.
Select Next.
Enter a name and optional description.
Select Create.
Select the screens you want this field to appear in.
Scroll down and click Update.
Note: Every app is different - check the apps' documentation for information on how to connect the asset management app to the field.
