Additional validators enable you to consider different formats and input criteria.

  1. To create a new validator, go to Jira Administration > Issues > Workflows.



  2. Click Workflows. Click Edit for certain a Project you'd like to add validator to.




  3. Select a Diagram view



  4. Select the transition you'd like to add validator to and click. Configuration panel appears. Select  
    Select Validators



  5.  Click Add validator.


  6. Select validator you'd like. Click a validator and click Add



  7. Add parameters to validator . Click and click Add.



  8. To save changes, click Publish Draft.



  9. That's it. Now the transition requires saved criteria to be valid.
