Power Salesforce Connector™ is SIL Tempo Connector is a free app that comes together with any of our paid Power Portfolio apps like Power Scripts Scripts™ for Jira, Power Actions, Power Database Fields PRO, Power Custom Fields PRO KBA, DBCF, KCF, and so on. Once you have any of these plugins installed, Power Salesforce SIL Tempo Connector is a great addition to the family to help you with convenient and pain free integration to Salesforcework with the Tempo plugin.

Before you install Power Salesforce SIL Tempo Connector, ensure that you have either of the power apps installed.

Installing directly from the Atlassian Marketplace

If you are connected to the Atlassian Marketplace website from your Jira administration console, you can install our apps directly from the Marketplace. For more information, see Installing add-ons and Universal Plugin Manager pages.

1. Log into your Jira as Admin.
2. In the cog wheel menu, go to Add-ons.
3. In the search field of the Find new add-ons section, search for Power Salesforce Connector™for SIL Tempo Connector.

This installation method is the quickest way. You can also install by file upload, as described in the next section.

Installing by file upload

1. Download the Power Salesforce Connector™ file SIL Tempo Connector file from the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. Log into your Jira as Admin.
3. Go to Administration > Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
4. Click Upload add-on, select the file you downloaded, and click Upload.
5. (Optional, but highly recommended) Enable logging on our modules. 
   To do that, 

   1. Open the Jira log4j configuration file: JIRA_INSTALL_DIR/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties with a text editor of your choice and add the following lines at the end of it.

      log4j.logger.com.keplerrominfo=INFO, filelog
log4j.additivity.com.keplerrominfo=false
   2. Restart Jira.

Installation Notes

Power Salesforce Connector™ packages together SIL Tempo Connector packages in the following Jira appsway:

1. SIL Engine Engine™ — library with utility routines and the SIL language parser
2. Power Salesforce Connector™ app — contains SIL Tempo Connector — the app itself containing the necessary functionality

SIL Engine is Engine™ is shared across our Power Portfolio products. If you disable or uninstall it, the functionality built on top of it will stop working. SIL Engine Engine™ is also published on the Atlassian Marketplace, and we recommend that you install updates compatible for this app as soon as they appear.

What should I do if I installed an incompatible version?

1. Uninstalling Power Salesforce Connector™Uninstall SIL Tempo Connector.
2. Uninstall the SIL Engine appEngine™.
3. Install the version of Power Salesforce Connector™ that SIL Tempo Connector that is compatible with your Jira version. Ensure that you use the OBR file you downloaded or use directly the UPM search and install feature (recommended).

4. SIL Engine Engine™ should now have the right version as well.
