About organizing tasks
The Organize tasks feature orders tasks by the selected parameter. You can organize your tasks in ascending or descending order. Tasks are organized on each level of the hierarchy separately.
The new order overwrites any manual changes and is applicable to all users of a box.
IMPORTANT: The new task order is irreversible. You can apply a new order, but manual changes cannot be restored.
...
More sorting option
You can only use BigPicture built-in fields to organize tasks.
If a built-in field you want to sort by is missing, add it as a column to your current column view.
By what fields can I order tasks?
You can organize tasks only by BigPicture built-in fields. To organize tasks by a particular field, make sure that the corresponding column is added to the current column view.
Who is affected?
The 'Organize tasks' command affects all the users of a box in which the new order has been applied, as it has a global impact on the task order.
Organizing tasks only affects their order in BigPicture, it does not change the order in the monday board.
Sorting grouped tasks
The below applies to a situation when task grouping is active.

Sorting does NOT reflect field value changes (when tasks are already sorted, changing a value won't trigger an automatic recalculation).
Restore monday.com tasks order
