Overview

From version 8.21.0 onwards, Scaffolding allows Confluence administrators to set the default limit for List Data items. The processing stops when this limit is exceeded, and an error message is displayed.

Why there is a limit

The reason for List Data limitations

The List Data macro provides data options from a specific list. However, processing a large number of List Data items when used with the check or select type may cause performance issues for Confluence.

Tip

If there are many items, it can be tedious for users to select an option from a long list of radio buttons, checkboxes, or dropdown menus. Setting List Data with the auto-completetype is more appropriate in that use case.
